Part 4: How to Clone A SIM Card
In Part 4, we explain if it’s possible to clone a SIM card and how you can do it.
4.1 Can you clone a SIM card?
You can only clone ancient SIM cards, not the new ones. Older SIM cards running the COMP128 – 1 algorithm can be cracked. Newer SIM cards running on v2 or v3 can’t be cloned.
If the SIM card you want to clone is old – approximately 10 years old – then chances are you can clone it. Newer SIM cards are highly protected, however. You can’t clone them unless you have CIA-level technology.
4.2 How can you clone a SIM card?
If you have an ancient SIM card you want cloned, you can use its IMSI number – which is printed on the card – and the authentication key stored on the card to clone it. You will need to buy a blank SIM card from Amazon.
Note that you will need to contact the phone carrier for a key to unlock the SIM card. After you manage that, download a SIM card reader and then copy the data from one SIM card to the other. The process is complicated, but you can Google it.
If you want to clone a SIM card that belongs to you, it’s easier just to call your network operator and ask for a replacement. If you want to clone someone’s SIM card, you’re out of luck. Also, read the warning in part 5.
While you can’t clone a SIM card, you can use an app such as ClickFree or Spyic to clone the phone itself and see what’s happening on the device.
Part 5: How to Clone A Phone Number
In Part 5, we discuss if it’s possible to clone a phone number and how to go about doing so.
5.1 Can you clone a phone number?
The short answer is no, you can’t clone a phone number. If this was possible, everyone would have their identities stolen.
Even if you manage to clone the phone number somehow, you will likely get caught by the carrier. Every phone has a unique fingerprint. The carrier will be able to tell the same number is being used from a different phone.
5.2 How do you clone a phone number?
If you want to clone a phone number, you would have to clone the SIM card. As we mentioned in Part 4, cloning modern SIM cards is impossible unless you have access to NSI-level tech.
Warning: Attempting to clone a SIM card is likely to get you into trouble with the police. Phone carriers in some countries are required to report suspicious activity – like requests to unlock SIM cards – directly to government agencies.
You can, however, safely clone the phone data with the help of a phone clone app such as ClickFree.
We showed you how to effortlessly clone a phone – discreetly, remotely, and without touching it – with the help of a phone clone app such as ClickFree.
But cloning a SIM card or a phone number isn’t that simple. It takes a lot of technical skills and some serious hardware.
